You remind me of me...

...I hate it when people say that.

Well Dom, It's great to see you uploading something new. Spider-Powers 1 is still an all time top fave and I hold out hope on you delivering more musical stuff, I'm a real faggot for musicals and you have fantastic musical talent which I'd hate to see go unused.

As for this, whilst I didn't find it particularly funny or original (hence why it reminded me of my own work, yuk yuk) it certainly wasn't horrible and the jingle was cute.

Stick with it and have fun!

Wow, wasn't really aware you were among my fans. Or did I just forget that we've talked before? Well, hey, if you're lookin' for musical stuff, I just put out a Christmas short called Deck'd on my YouTube channel, which begins with a big musical number. Just run a search for it! As for this reminding you of yourself, I'm sure I have some sort of subconscious influence from you. I love your work.

Thanks for the review, man. You might have just single handedly inspired me to stick with my word and make a few shorter Spider-Powers animations throughout this year. (With music, of course.)

Later, dude.

Man, what?

Far too many characters with nowhere near enough time devoted to showing the audience who they were and what they were doing. If this series is going to survive, show us some distinct characters we can empathize with and put them in an actual dilemma which interests us.

Either that or try making it funny.

The only glimmer of hope I saw was the possibility of drama between King and Geena and then the thing suddenly ended, sorry but I feel shortchanged. I won't be watching next time...

Oh Phat Dawg, We hardly knew ye...

This is a fascinating insight in to how the character of Alfred and your sense of humor changed over time.

As a standalone short, this was pretty damn clunky looking and there were only occasional hints of how funny you can be scattered throughout, but for the work of a 15 yr old it's precocious as hell.

If anyone who isn't aware of Alfred enjoyed this, I strongly suggest you go and watch his other exploits and let Miss Youcis warp your fucking soul.

Shows real promise

The coloring and art were great. The animation was limited but with strong artwork that isn't such a bad thing. Obviously this is just a few test pieces, so naturally the next step (if you want to take it) is to tell stories by putting those pieces together.

If you're yet to tell a narrative with a series of pictures and sounds, it can be a lot harder than you think but anyone with your artistic chops probably has a very good head start. Bringing living, breathing, thinking characters to life that will do your bidding is a seriously rewarding hobby and one that I suggest you give a serious try now you have the tools to do so. Start small, see how things go, and best of luck.

Sabtastic responds:

Hey, thanks man!
Very inspiring words coming from such a big Flash celeb here.
I really appreciate it. :)

Hoping to piece together something coherant and entertaining sooner or later, if only just to show my appreciation for all of this encouragement. I've got more ideas kicking around in my head than I can keep track of! D:

Thanks again, and happy holidays! ;)

Beautiful.

It touched me in places I'm not often touched.

How did it for my taste?

Amazing work.

If I could ask Boco just one question I would have to ask "How is it, the maker from one of the best flash animations in the world?".

If you don't laugh like a retard while watching this, leave the planet immediately. It's fantastic.

bocodamondo responds:

thank you :D.
and i think i make a remake sometime... when i can animate better (:P

Mon petit coq!!

A surreal mindfuck of the highest order and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Really funny and totally weird.

Le Awesome!

Bobert-Rob responds:

Well thanks, Mr. Happy! Boy, that sounds awkward. Mr. Happy I mean. Remind me not to call you that again. Glad you enjoyed!

Anime Shun

Ironically the anime parody at the beginning was far superior visually to the 'real' characters we see after, and better than most animes!

Though the rest was decent enough and I enjoy your writing, the most fun I had was watching the beginning, it just looked awesome.

4 simple words loaded with absolute douchebaggery.

I agree completely with the sentiment behind this flash and I really like how you chose to make your point. Great character design, voicework and music choice.

OH LAWDS!!

Jesus Tyler....

I am speechless. That was awesome. I can't expect there to be much that is going to top this on Pico day or ANY day. I'm impressed by the warped sense of humour, the gorgeous animation, and your clearly evident understanding of prohibition era animation. This really flipped my balls.

SHO' NUFF, DIS AM GOIN' IN MAH FAVORITS, WHY YES SIR!

"Why anyone would choose to live in a city where a purple hedgehog watches you have sex with your significant other every night is utterly beyond my comprehension"
