Unfortunately, as Idiocracy predicted, since dumb people keep having dumb babies they will become the majority. And so once again popularity continues to screw people with real talent who don't just speed up their good damn videos but professional animate them (such as yourself) or craftily direct them. Fred's not talented or funny, he's just popular demand.

Youtube itself has a very small fraction of talent, with the rest being a cess pit of people with so little self respect that they are happy to hurl their faces on camera faster than Rtil can criticize someone else's work. (Damn, that's what I call incorporation.)
Youtube just seems like some kind of vicious cycle, the people who upload the videos that make the substance of the cess pit are just as idiotic as those who watch them, thus the rising views etc etc.
